Restore 10.1.1.3 email functions Hot

The email dialog box function of 10.1.1.3 seems far superior to 10.1.5.1.

  • My manager tried the email function using the icon to the right of Actions, and was very troubled by it.  I myself found inconsistencies in the behavior when I entered a string in the To: address and tried to figure out how it worked.  At first, after pressing Enter, a name appeared below the string, but after I returned to the To: field without selecting the name, the name no longer appeared.  Writing instructions for the users was difficult.  I saw no instructions in the User Guide, though I'll look again.  10.1.1.3 appeared to be simpler and better.

    Hi Phil,

    The search bar enables you to find a user. You then need to select whether you want that user on the "To", "Cc", or "Bcc" line, which is why it does not auto populate the "To" line once the user is found. This is very similar to the functionality found in Microsoft Outlook so feedback to Serena was that this methodology was familiar to the majority of customers. If you have ideas on how to improve on the current implementation, please do comment further with your ideas.
