Re-order tiles in Kanban Board Hot

by David Sheaffe on March 22, 2017

In the current Kanban Boards there isn't anyway to control the order that the tiles are displayed.  Adding the ablity to order the tiles would add significantly to the Kanban Board functionality

  • Ideally, I would like the ability to be able to sort the tiles in a particular order based on an existing field, and additionally be able to manually sort the tiles by existing drag & drop functionality within a column.

An example use case would be, sort the tiles by 'Due Date' field - and if necessary move tiles up/down to set specific priority.

While the Backlog view does give the ability to sort items manually - this type of functionality within the Kanban would be a great feature.

You can now sort by system fields in a Kanban Board View.

This is under consideration for the 1HCY'17 release. In the current release, you can also type a word (or partial word) in the search bar which will remove any cards that don't match the word from the current view. It's not sorting, but can be used somewhat as such if you're looking for a particular phrase or group of cards.
