Add the option to suppress reports if they do not produce results on a Dashboard

  • In order to use a single dashboard for multiple groups, you can add multiple report widgets to it. Today, in SBM 11.3, there is a nice feature that collapses the report if it is empty. This is a great feature, but if a report is always going to be empty for a certain group that utilizes the same dashboard, it can look messy and also cause confusion.

What we are requesting is when the administrator adds widgets to the dashboard, to have an option to suppress the report if it is empty. When an administrator views the dashboard, they will see all of the reports and the ones that have the option set, there will be a visual image on the title bar of the report stating the option was set.

When a user views the dashboard, they will have a clean view of all reports related to them and will not have any indication there are reports hidden from their view.

Again, this allows us to create one Dashboard or use the System "My Dashboard" for multiple groups. It cuts down on administration by having one also.
